Microsoft went back to the drawing board with this one. Taking cues from their Surface Pro X model, it is quite possibly the most efficient 2-in-1 Windows device I’ve ever laid eyes on. With an improved display, keyboard, and much more powerful processor, it seems like Microsoft has finally gotten all things right with this one.

The highlight though has to be the support for a 120Hz refresh rate in the display. With a 3:2 aspect ratio 13-inch touch-screen, you’ve also got a narrower display. Battery life stands at about 16 hours of use which is pretty impressive for a device of this form factor. Oh and there’s also support for Thunderbolt.

The keyboard also is now made of carbon fiber making it far more comfortable and quieter to type on without compromising on its signature stiffness. It also houses the new Surface Slim Pen 2 for easy access to take notes. Other refinements include an upgraded front camera for team meetings and video calls while the rear camera supports 4K Video Recording

We expect the Surface Pro 8 as a standalone device to start at around AED 4500 when it launches here in the United Arab Emirates with base specs of 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage, and an 11th Generation Core i5 Processor.

The Surface Slim Pen 2 is expected to be around AED 500 and packs in features like inductive charging via the keyboard along with an integrated haptic engine.
